The Rotary Club of Chicopee donated $2,500 to the Wildfire Disaster Relief effort being spearheaded by the Rotary District 5280 Office located in Playa Del Ray, CA.
The Knights of Columbus volunteers began food preparation on Monday of Thanksgiving week. By Thanksgiving Day the Knights were ready for their feast, which included meals delivered to the elderly or disabled, along with a sit down meal for people either alone or in need. Rotarians Kirk, our friend Jennifer, John, Linda, Lou, Fred and Scott helped with the preparations before the big event. Not pictured are Rotarians Mayor John Vieau and Karen Kirby. 
 
 
 
 
On Tuesday June 11, The Rotary Club of Chicopee presented Mr. Al Picard with the Paul Harris Award. The Paul Harris Fellowship Award is one of the highest honors Rotary can bestow upon a person. Recipients are Rotarians and community professionals, recognized for their outstanding contributions, exemplifying the highest ideal in Rotary in placing “SERVICE ABOVE SELF.”

Pictured donating a $500 sponsorship to Ms. Stephanie Shaw, Director of the Chicopee Veterans Services, are Chicopee Rotary co-presidents John Arthur and Lou Arasate. On December 28th the Chicopee Veterans Services held a veterans informational fun night at the Legion Post 452 in Chicopee.
